Launched in 1991, Footloose Sailing Association is the Northwest's premiere sailing program for people of all disabilities. We are dedicated to bringing independence on the water and competence in the sport of sailing to our disabled members.

Costco Donates Funds for New Dock Shed

The 2006 winter wind storm destroyed our shed on the Leschi Marina dock.  Thanks to a donation from Costco employees spearhead by Steve Bell the shed has been replaced.  See photo to right.

Footloose Receives Grant from

AIG-Disabled Sports USA

Footloose recently received a grant from Disabled Sports USA and their sponsor AIG Insurance.  The AIG SummerFest Tour award funded existing sailing operations and introduce a basic sailing training program and dinghy racing . 

Boat U.S. Foundation Funds New Footloose Safety Brochure      

Boat U.S. Foundation, dedicated to boating safety and clean water, has provided Footloose Sailing with a grant to write and produce a new safety brochure for existing and prospective members.  The brochure has been distributed to many stores & marinas in the area.

60 New Life Jackets Gifted

Many of our tired and well used life jackets will be replaced thanks to a donation from Vanguard Charitable Endowment Fund.  Their generous donation allowed us to replace our ageing life jacket assortment with 60 new ones, including 5 special auto-inflate types.
